Ukraine has asked people to come and fight against the Russians. This is an official tweet from Ukraine’s foreign minister.

They’re actually asking people to come fight in Ukraine. I draw your attention to the conversation that happened between Liz Truss, the UK foreign secretary, and a reporter in which she endorsed this idea.

Reporter: what you have to say president Zelenski who has asked for people from abroad to join an international force. Would you support that?

Liz Truss: I do! I do support that and of course that is something that people can make their own decisions about but they are fighting. The people of Ukraine are fighting for freedom and democracy, not just for Ukraine but for the whole of Europe because that is what president Putin is challenging and absolutely if people want to support that struggle, I would support them in doing that.

Reporter: you support Britain people from Britain going over to Ukraine to help in the fight?

Liz Truss: Absolutely! If that’s what they want to do.

Isn’t that incredible? I recall very distinctly that people who went to Syria to fight on either side, whether with ISIS or against ISIS, were harassed when they came back to the UK. Here’s an article from the independent: British volunteers who fought against ISIS harassed by security services for years. The article would read: Volunteers who fought against ISIS in Syria have accused British authorities of treating them like terrorists as part of a hypocritical campaign of harassment and the independent understands that at least one person has left the UK because of alleged interference by the security services. Dozens of brits joined the Kurdish people’s protection units the YPG from 2014 onwards as they were supported by a US-led military coalition to push ISIS out of its self-declared caliphate. Eight British volunteers with the group – seven men and one woman – were killed in Syria. The vast majority of those who survived the fighting have returned to Britain but found themselves repeatedly stopped and questioned, and in some cases arrested for terror offences.

Let me be very clear, I am certainly not going to cry for someone fighting with ISIS being questioned by their security services. Yeah I mean you’re a terrorist but I just want to show you the irony that when it suits the British government, and probably other European governments will follow suit, they have no problem with you going to a sovereign country like Syria, joining an illegal militia Kurds or otherwise. Keep that in mind that these groups are not a part of the official conscripted or the conventional armed forces. You can’t just pick up weapons and create an army within a country because you feel like it. Of course, with ISIS it’s even worse. Scumbags joining ISIS and they harass them when they come back but when you want to go fight in Ukraine, the foreign secretary, Liz Truss, is literally saying on television be my guest. Of course, we support them. It’s against Putin. Isn’t that incredible? And now here you have a Syrian Ukrainian businessman from Aleppo who’s raised a platoon with his own money.

he says that the Russians have destabilized the security of our homes and lands we will defend our land. I was born in Syria but raised in Ukraine. Russia destroyed my home country but I will not allow it to destroy Ukraine. These men with me are all-ready. What do you mean Russia destroyed Syria? By fighting al-Qaeda if they hadn’t come and saved us, the black flag of ISIS would be flying over Damascus. The people who say this are basically saying I don’t mind if ISIS and al-Qaeda took over Syria why did the Russian s intervene? Why did Iran intervene? We should have let that happen. That’s what they’re saying. In any case, you can see that there’s a concerted effort now to recruit foreign fighters for Ukraine. That’s not just being done by businessmen but even endorsed and encouraged by the Ukrainian government and even the British government and the foreign secretaries just straight up coming out and saying people should go and do that. If they feel that’s the right thing, let’s ask Truss how she feel about people going to Palestine and join the Palestinian resistance to fight against the Israeli illegal occupation. Would she be as welcoming? I wonder! What do you think Liz Truss would say? They would put those people in jail. The hypocrisy is really something else.

It’s already been reported that there are jihadists who are leaving Syria and going to join the fight in Ukraine against the Russians. This is not even a joke. I literally found one person on twitter saying I fought in Syria and Libya against Russia and I have many fighters who want to fight against Russia for Ukraine’s victory. I mean just look at @DeirEzzore’s account on twitter. He’s wearing this colonial rag over here which they want to replace the Syrian flag with it’s a colonial flag. He also has got a Turkish arm patch. This guy without a doubt is from Idlib, from northern Syria, where you have the last jihadist stronghold. You have tens of thousands of fighters terrorists who are either backed by Turkey or by the US or the [Persian] Gulf kingdoms. You have Jaish ul-Islam which is al-Qaeda failure. These are backed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. They are straight-up extremists. They would chop my head off for being a Christian in Syria. They have ethnically cleansed other Syrians and they, of course, also kill other Muslims and call them infidels. You know these are crazy mercenaries. That’s the word, mercenaries. Mercenaries who’ve been hired by the CIA and their allies to wage war on Syria. These people who are in Idlib, in northern Syria, are battle-hardened terrorists who show up at your doorstep in Ukraine and then what they will do? They will use that to vilify refugees again. That’s what they always do.

the vast majority of people of all refugees coming from Syria or Afghanistan are coming from these war-torn countries that have been destroyed by the west. They are just seeking refuge and then of course you have a people amongst them who are terrorists but who is paying them? Whose payroll were they on? It’s the same western countries. They create those terrorists and then eventually, you have an ISIS attack or some kind of terrorist attack. These people are the same people that they trained in the first place. Have you noticed how every single time there’s one of these ISIS attacks, the perpetrator is always known to the security services? They had a profile on that person but somehow they were just out there. Once again, you’re seeing that the west is not only collaborating with neo-Nazis in Ukraine but now, they’re encouraging the same thing that they did in Syria with these foreign fighters and that they did in Afghanistan.

one conclusion that you could draw from what the Ukrainian foreign minister is that they’re trying to create a quagmire for the Russians? The Russians invaded Afghanistan in 1979. The Soviets were there for 10 years until 1989. They got the living hell beaten out of them. The U.S. Spent exorbitant amounts of money that was spend on training the Mujahedeen who would go on to become al-Qaeda, like bin laden or al-Zawahiri. These people were not just from Afghanistan. Bin laden is Saudi. Zawahiri is Egyptian. They brought all these foreign fighters in from all over and then they created these recruitment offices in Peshawar, Pakistan. They brought foreign fighters from all over the planet in an effort to subdue the Russians and beat them in Afghanistan. Look at the blowback for them. They don’t care because the blowback doesn’t affect them. Despite 911, despite the embassy bombings, the majority of the victims of al-Qaeda are Muslims or Arabs. They’re not westerners. So who pays for that in the end? It’s Arabs and Muslims. The people of Middle East region. When they’re telling these foreign fighters to come to Ukraine, that is not going to end well. I can assure you that this is not going to end well. I just find the hypocrisy staggering. They are suddenly saying that it’s okay to go fight as a foreigner in some other country. We will even protect you and endorse you but that’s because it’s in the service of combating Russia. They hate Russia so much that they’re willing to bend the rules by which they used to prosecute others.

Now, Germany and the EU are sending weapons and they’re telling foreign fighters to come in from anywhere to fight there. That should really give you an idea how concerted this whole thing is. The tragedy here is who pays for this? It’s Ukrainians. The Ukrainians are the ones who are caught in the middle. They are the ones who have to pay the price of this NATO expansion. Russia’s not perfect but you’re not going to sit there and tell me that the west didn’t promise Russia that they wouldn’t expand NATO. They did promise. That’s a fact and Russia has been asking for 30 years stop expanding NATO. NATO just didn’t listen so you can’t sit there and seriously tell me that NATO isn’t to blame for this. Ukrainians are the ones paying the price. It’s really tragic. You have hundreds of thousands of people turned to refugees displaced internally and internationally. You have black people who are treated so horribly by racists. People who are bogged down in Ukraine who can’t leave. There’s a shortage of food why all of this destruction? Why all of this situation? Why couldn’t they just try and find a compromise with Russia? Why does it have to come to this? I don’t know. What I really hope there’s some peace talks to come to fruition but regardless of what you think, one thing is very clear, there’s a double standard here.
